Cát Phượng

Cát Phượng was born in 1970, studied at a theatre school in Ho Chi Minh City and took up acting in the early 1990s. She has long been associated with the Phú Nhuận Drama Stage and is remembered for the roles of Út Đẹt (Yêu thầy), Thị Nở (Chí Phèo), Loan (Phận làm gái) and Nương (Cánh đồng bất tận).

On television, she has appeared in many well-known series such as Đất phương Nam (1997), Thời vi tính, Áo gió bụi hồng and Hàng xóm, and is a familiar comedic face on entertainment programmes. In film, she has appeared in Nàng men chàng bóng, Tỷ phú chăn vịt, Bộ ba rắc rối, Ròm and, notably, as the mother Tuệ in Hạnh phúc của mẹ (2019).

In 2015, she founded Cat Production to stage live shows. She continues to appear regularly on the big screen with Tiệm cầm đồ: Có chơi có chịu and Phòng trọ ma bầu (2025).

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Cát Phượng for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Cát Phượng established her name on the drama stage with the Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot) Award three years in a row – 2000, 2001, 2002 – and once more for the role of Nương in Cánh đồng bất tận. Moving into film, she received the Cánh Diều (Golden Kite) Award for Best Actress from the Vietnam Cinema Association for her role as the mother in Hạnh phúc của mẹ.
