Career story

Đan Trường was born in Ho Chi Minh City. In 1996 he took singing lessons and won second prize in a district-level singing contest; in 1997 he became an exclusive singer of HT Production, officially beginning his professional career.

In 1999, “Kiếp ve sầu” became his first hit, paving the way for a series of albums and audience-voted awards such as Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot), Làn Sóng Xanh and VTV Bài hát tôi yêu in the early 2000s. He refreshed his image with the album Đến 1 lúc nào đó (2004), moving toward R&B and hip hop, and the period-themed album Thập nhị mỹ nhân (2007).

Beyond singing, Đan Trường acted in the films Yêu anh em dám không (2013) and Ngốc ơi tuổi 17 (2019), served as a coach on Thần tượng Bolero (2016), and marked 20 years of singing with the liveshow Cảm ơn đời (2016).

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Đan Trường for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Awards · titles

Đan Trường was the leading male name in audience-voted awards throughout the 2000s: he was named in Làn Sóng Xanh's Top 10 Favorite Singers every year from 2001 to 2007 and received the Mai Vàng award four years in a row (2001–2004) in the categories of singer, folk/revolutionary-tradition singer and pop singer. That appeal continued with three consecutive years (2007–2009) as Favorite Male Singer at the HTV Awards, the album "Thập nhị mỹ nhân" being honored at Album Vàng 2008, and two wins as Favorite Male Singer at the Zing Music Awards (2010, 2011).
