Huỳnh Lập

Huỳnh Lập was born in Long Xuyên (An Giang) and studied multimedia arts at FPT Arena. In 2012 he founded the group DAMtv and the theatre group Tía Lia, began making short films and parody MVs online, and became widely known after winning the celebrity edition of Cười xuyên Việt in 2015.

He entered film with "Gái già lắm chiêu" (2016) and co-directed "Sài Gòn, anh yêu em" (2016), a role that earned him the Cánh Diều Vàng (Golden Kite) for Best Supporting Actor. The web drama "Ai chết giơ tay" (2018) and the feature film "Pháp sư mù" (2019) led to him being regarded as one of the pioneers of web drama in Vietnam, and brought him several Ngôi Sao Xanh (Green Star) Awards.

In 2025 he released "Nhà gia tiên" as screenwriter and director; in 2026 he made "Nghỉ hè sợ nghỉ hưu" and took part in Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai season 2, receiving the Best Leader (X-Leader) award.

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Huỳnh Lập for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Huỳnh Lập established his name as the winner of the 2015 celebrity edition of Cười xuyên Việt, then quickly made his mark in film with Promising Film Actor at the 2016 Ngôi Sao Xanh Awards and Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Cánh Diều (Sài Gòn, anh yêu em). His strength in digital content has been recognised with Best Web Series Actor at the 2018 Ngôi Sao Xanh (Ai chết giơ tay), Top 10 Inspiring Ambassadors at the 2018 WeChoice Awards, Favourite Film Actor at the 2019 Ngôi Sao Xanh and the Best Leader title on Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai 2026.
