Lam Trường
Lam Trường is a pop singer and one of the pioneering idol figures of Vietnamese youth pop in the late 1990s. For 12 consecutive years (1997–2008) he was voted Favorite Singer of Làn Sóng Xanh (Green Wave), and he is associated with songs such as “Tình thôi xót xa”.
Career story
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Trường studied economics before switching to the College of Culture and Arts to pursue singing. He started out with second prize at the Thập Đại Tinh Tú singing contest in 1994, then caught audiences' attention on the program Mưa Bụi with “Tiếng sáo phiêu bồng” in 1995.
His debut album “Baby I love you” (1997) and the song “Tình thôi xót xa” took him to the top of the Làn Sóng Xanh chart, opening a continuous run of albums and liveshows in the years that followed. He represented Vietnam at the ASEAN Pop Festival (Japan, 2003) and the Asia Song Festival (Korea, 2007), and also appeared in the film “Nữ tướng cướp” (2004).
Later, he served as a coach on Giọng hát Việt nhí (The Voice Kids Vietnam, 2014) and Giọng hát Việt (The Voice Vietnam, 2018).
Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Lam Trường for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.
