Lý Hùng

Lý Hùng was born in Vĩnh Long into an artistic family; his father is NSND Lý Huỳnh. He acted from childhood, with a small role in Phượng (1982) and his first lead role in Đàn chim và cơn bão, then from 1986 studied in the first film acting class at the Ho Chi Minh City School of Cinema.

His role as Phạm Công in Phạm Công – Cúc Hoa (late 1980s) made him a star, followed by the films Người không mang họ, Sơn Thần Thủy Quái (1990) and co-productions with Hong Kong cinema. He returned to the screen as Nguyễn Trực in Dollars trắng, then appeared in Tây Sơn hào kiệt (2010), Hy sinh đời trai (2015), Kẻ trộm chó (2017) and Phòng trọ ma bầu (2025).

In 2010, he received the Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot) Award for Film Actor.

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Lý Hùng for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Lý Hùng has been recognised by the Vietnam Book of Records as the actor with the most leading roles in Vietnam, a hallmark of the 1990s video-film era. In 2010, he received the audience-voted Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot) Award in the Film Actor category.
