Mỹ Duyên

Mỹ Duyên was born in Saigon, studied ballet from childhood and in 1982 was admitted to the Vaganova Academy in Leningrad, graduating in 1990. Back in Vietnam, she worked as a backup dancer and fashion performer at Hòa Bình Theater, then landed her first film role in Vị đắng tình yêu 2 (1993), winning Best Actress at the 10th Vietnam Film Festival that same year.

She received the Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot) award in 1995 and 1996, and from 1997 began a long association with Idecaf Theater through the Ngày xửa... ngày xưa series and Thử yêu lần nữa. Her roles in Gái nhảy (2003) and Nữ tướng cướp (2004) were major steps forward, with Nữ tướng cướp earning her the Cánh Diều award in 2004; in 2007 she was named Meritorious Artist.

She went on to appear in Vượt qua bến Thượng Hải (2010), Tháng năm rực rỡ (2018), Người lạ ơi (2019) and Bố già trở lại: Không khoan nhượng (2026).

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Mỹ Duyên for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Mỹ Duyên was a leading face of Vietnamese cinema in the 1990s, winning the Mai Vàng award for Film Actress two years in a row (1995 for Lưỡi dao, 1996 for Lời thề and Xóm nước đen). Before that, at the 10th Vietnam Film Festival (1993), she received Best Actress in the video film category. She went on to win Best Leading Actress at the Cánh Diều Awards 2004 for Nữ tướng cướp and was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2007.
