Ngọc Ánh

Ngọc Ánh began singing in 1977 in the choir of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Cultural Palace and toured the country with its arts troupe. She became a professional singer in January 1986, and in 1987 was invited to sing with the rock band Đại Dương in Saigon.

In 1989 the song "Mùa xuân bên cửa sổ" brought her name to northern audiences, opening her peak period of 1989–1999 with a packed performance schedule. The album "Không dám đâu" (1993), produced by Bến Thành Audio, sold more than 100,000 copies and was the best-selling album for several years running.

In 1999 she signed a two-year exclusive contract with Thúy Nga Productions and appeared in many Paris By Night programmes. In 2014 she returned to the domestic stage with her first live show, "Dấu ấn số 12"; in 2015 she launched her own YouTube channel, and in 2024 she took part in Chị Đẹp Đạp Gió Rẽ Sóng season 2.

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Ngọc Ánh for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

According to the press, Ngọc Ánh holds around 300 awards from the period 1977–1997, most notably the ASEAN Golden Voice award two years in a row, in 1996 and 1997.
