Suboi
Suboi (birth name Hàng Lâm Trang Anh) is a rapper and singer-songwriter, one of the pioneering female rappers of Vietnamese hip-hop, often called the "Queen of hip-hop". She was the first Vietnamese artist named on the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list (2017) and has served as a coach and judge on Rap Việt.
Career story
Born in Ho Chi Minh City and educated at Marie Curie High School, Suboi started rapping at 15 and taught herself English through foreign rap songs. Around 2005 she performed with school music groups before producer Dương Khắc Linh signed her to Music Faces.
She drew attention through collaborations with Hồ Ngọc Hà in 2009 and released her debut album Walk in 2010. In 2012 Suboi founded her own company, released the album Run (2014) and performed at South by Southwest (USA) in 2015.
She appeared in the films Đoạt hồn (2014) and Siêu trộm (2016), released the EP 2.7 (2017) and the album No nê (2021), and was a coach on the first season of Rap Việt (2020), returning to the show in 2023 and 2024.
Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Suboi for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.
