Career story

Thành Lộc was born in Saigon into an artistic family: he is the son of NSND (People's Artist) Thành Tôn and hát bội artisan Huỳnh Mai, and his siblings Bạch Long and Bạch Lê are both cải lương artists. He began performing in 1969 at just eight years old and graduated from the acting department of the Ho Chi Minh City School of Theater and Cinema in 1982.

In 1983 he joined the Experimental Theater Club (now Sân khấu nhỏ) and made his mark in Lôi Vũ, Dạ cổ hoài lang and Ngôi nhà không có đàn ông. In 1997 he moved to IDECAF, co-founding and staging the Ngày xửa ngày xưa series from 2000; in 2001 he was awarded the title of NSƯT.

In 2023, Thành Lộc founded Thiên Đăng Theater, while continuing to work in film with Tấm Cám: Chuyện chưa kể (2016), Ma da and Công tử Bạc Liêu (2024).

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Thành Lộc for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.
