Thanh Mai

Thanh Mai was born in Nghệ An, trained in professional ballet at the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School (1985–1992) and also studied sight-singing, choral music and piano at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. In 1989, she won a gold medal for solo ballet at the National Dance Festival.

In 1992, she was runner-up in the Ngôi sao điện ảnh ngày mai contest and began acting in films, with works such as “Cô thủ môn tội nghiệp”, “Người đi tìm dĩ vãng”, “Tiếng dương cầm trong mưa” and “Đại gia đình”. In 2007, she returned to the small screen as an MC and hosted Sức sống mới (VTV1) until 2012.

She has also served several times as a judge for beauty pageants, including the final of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015.

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Thanh Mai for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Thanh Mai began on the ballet stage: as a dancer with the Saigon Theatre, she won a gold medal at the National Dance Festival in 1989. In 1992, she made her mark again as runner-up in the “Ngôi sao điện ảnh ngày mai” contest organised by the Vietnam Cinema Association, opening the way to acting and hosting.
