Thanh Thảo

Thanh Thảo began singing professionally in 1998 when she joined the Rạng Đông music production centre, and quickly drew attention with “Ôi tình yêu”. In 2002, composer Phương Uyên's song “Búp bê đẹp xinh” and a live show of the same name at the Lan Anh stage defined the “Búp bê” image that stayed with her for many years.

A series of doll-branded albums followed with “Búp bê biết yêu” (2004), “Búp bê Happy” (2006) and “Búp bê con trai” (2007), interspersed with hits such as “O.K mình chia tay”, “Khóc cho yêu thương” and “Thiên thần bóng đêm”. In July 2007, she co-founded Music Box Entertainment – a company for staging performances and training singers, which has worked with vocalists such as Ngô Kiến Huy, Từ Minh Hy, Ngân Khánh and Nam Cường; in April 2011 she also founded Thanh Thảo Production.

Her career expanded into bolero with the album “Hoàng tử trong mơ” (2011) and the 4-CD box set “Gọi tên bốn mùa” (2014). On television, she was the MC of the first season of Giọng hát Việt nhí (The Voice Kids of Vietnam, 2013) and a coach on Ai sẽ thành sao nhí (2017).

Babyface Entertainment, a Vietnam casting agency since 2009, helps brands, agencies and production houses book Thanh Thảo for commercials, TVCs, key-visual shoots, events and KOL campaigns, working through the artist’s management to confirm availability and fees.

Thanh Thảo was voted “Favourite Singer” by audiences at Làn Sóng Xanh (Green Wave) for three consecutive years, 2002–2004, the peak of her “Búp bê” image. In 2010, she won the Mai Vàng (Golden Apricot) Award in the Female Pop Singer category and was also named in the Top 10 “Singer of the Year” – the first year the awards honoured this title.
